Outsiders: Kanal w/ Ula Sickle

For Kiosk Radio, choreographer Ula Sickle revisits a decade of performances through their sonic dimension. Together with her friend, composer Charlie Usher, she has crafted an audio journey through her work, foregrounding sound as both a point of departure and a structuring element of her practice. Sound is often produced live by the performers themselves, and Sickle has developed collaborations with sound artists and composers including Yann Leguay (Relay), Ashley Morgan and Lynn Sue (The Sadness), Stine Janvin and Raphaël Hénard (Echoic Choir), Tom Pauwels and Ictus (Holding Present), and Maika Garnica and Ofer Smilansky (Clay Bodies). Many of these works will be featured in A Choreographic Exhibition, Sickle’s upcoming exhibition at KANAL–Centre Pompidou, opening in January 2027.
