Ant’s adventures through SoundCloud get derailed when she is kidnapped by Calypso and turned into an AI programmed to always tell her she’s right. In Ant’s undying wish to become a real girl, she embarks on a journey with the help of some cooky SoundCloud trappers who embody the ethos of community building and learning from each other that opposes the algorithm. Yet Ant questions, during her surreal journey through artifice, encryption, and gimmicks, whether these trappers are any less sane than her captor. In this episode, we question the power structures inherent in synthetic media and turn to the trapper for answers. Featuring trickster guides: Madjestic Kasual, Wr1st, PetitCloun C.
