The beginnings are far away and I can't see the end either.” For this week’s Outsiders, we welcome legendary Latvian DJ and vinyl selector Mixmaster Raitis for a special two-hour journey. Based in Riga, Raitis has been following the guidance of records for more than three decades, developing a deeply intuitive approach to DJing rooted in vinyl, discovery and a lifelong dedication to music. A true wizard behind the decks, he has become an important figure in the Baltic underground electronic music scene, with a musical path shaped by years of collecting, playing and exploring. For this session, Raitis describes himself as “a joyful painter, blending sounds to bloom in love for all of us.” A special Outsiders session from one of Riga’s true originals.
