Outsiders: Kanal w/ Deborah Bowmann & Maoupa Mazzocchetti

Deborah Bowmann and Maoupa Mazzocchetti explore the mechanics of machines through their robotic, futuristic-yet-retro, dramatic-yet-comic dimensions. Drawing on ideas of glitch, theatrical staging and industrial fiction, the programme weaves together original compositions, film excerpts, entertainment-related tracks, DMX tutorials, ventilation noises and technical sound artefacts.

In this shifting sonic environment, the infrastructures and tools of performance themselves become unstable, uncanny and strangely alive protagonists. The set also includes sneak-preview segments of new material currently being developed for the exhibition ‘NO SHOW’, opening in November 2026 at KANAL – Centre Pompidou.
