Kiosk Interview: Sustainable Models for Community Web Radios in Europe

Gaia (Sleepy) and Flora (A Colder Consciousness) are thrilled to finally visit Kiosk after a long-standing collaboration, to sit down with Nicolas Bucci and discuss Sustainable Models for Community Web Radios in Europe, a project co-funded by Erasmus+.

Through this initiative, Kiosk Radio (Brussels) and Refuge Worldwide (Berlin) supported a Palermo-based collective in launching Radio Dopo, a brand-new community web radio station founded in 2025. Located within the cultural centre EPYC in the heart of Palermo, Radio Dopo’s studio has quickly become a hub for the city’s underground and experimental music and cultural scenes.

In this conversation, we explore the process of founding a new radio station on Europe’s southernmost edge, the people behind it, and an attempt to map Palermo’s sound across genres, inspirations, and artistic directions.
