Outsiders: Strange Weather w/ A’alely & YELLOWUHURU
Met dear friend YELLOWUHURU through Atsushi when Strange Weather travelled to Japan for Rural Festival two years ago, and later we played together at Mitsuki. Since then, whenever I pass through Japan, I try to catch him. We exchange few words but understand each other through music. His dancefloor transmissions are deep, precise, and always land. Truly one of the best selectors I know—under the radar yet in total control, constantly shapeshifting without losing flow. He also put me onto many perfect record stores and food spots across Japan.
Made while freezing in Tokyo and later New York, this mix moves between snow-glow melancholy and dancefloor warmth: warped electronics, ominous atmosphere, psychedelic pressure, broken funk, hypnotic melody and head-trip drift.
