Outsiders: Bop Fantasies - American Brutalism: Temporalities of Materialized Space in the Year of The Horse
The first episode of 2026 marks the start of a new chapter for bop fantasies. More precisely, the beginning of Book II. Bizarrely, our narrators have been contracted by a well-known Swedish techno-capitalist to create this new “book” for his own purposes.
Miles (lil.bluet) begins this consultancy with a narrative centered on exploring the abstract nature of temporality and space in the Year of the Horse, identifying 12 spaces in total across the realms of the physical, virtual, metaphysical, and musical.
Some of the spaces in question: the North Sea; child labour in Roblox; Taylor Swift as a platform; the Black genius of D’Angelo; and the United States of America.
Clear out your schedule and tune in—this one’s an epic.
