Gary Gwadera is the solo project of Piotr Gwadera, a composer, improviser, drummer, and anthropologist-dreamer from Łódź, Poland. His 2024 album Far, Far in Chicago. Footberk Suite imagines a meeting point between Polish oberek and Chicago footwork through shared triple rhythms.

In 2025, Gwadera fulfilled a long-time dream by performing with footwork pioneer RP Boo at Unsound Festival in Osaka, Krakow, and New York. This hour-long mix captures their live performance Another Brain, The Birth of Footberk, presented on October 30, 2025, at Lincoln Center during Unsound New York. The set is framed by an oberek from the Opoczno region, performed by Władysław Koperkiewicz’s band.
