In a time when garage, jungle, and dubstep were built for the club, South London artist Burial turned those sounds inward - crafting something ambient, intimate, and deeply emotional. Sampling everyone from Aphex Twin and Kate Bush to Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Beyoncé, and even Metal Gear Solid, Burial built a world of ghostly echoes and rain-soaked streets.
