Aquiles Navarro is a New York-based trumpeter, composer, and DJ of Panamanian heritage. Founder of River Down Records, he blends influences from Panamanian folk, salsa, reggae, and jazz, shaped by his upbringing and studies with Carlos Garnett, Vitin Paz, and Brian Lynch. A graduate of the New England Conservatory and the Frost School of Music, Aquiles is an improviser at heart, merging diverse traditions into a singular, genre-crossing sound.
