Stolen Velour, FLOCO & Aria SL’s debut collaborative EP Holdfast on Illegal Data chronicles a departure from naivety and innocence into a darker, more complex world. Drawing inspiration from Joseph Campbell’s conceptualisation of A Hero’s Journey, their hybrid DJ & live set consists of violin, voice, kalimba and electronic music. The 45 minute set pulls listeners into an eerie sonic landscape where digital aesthetics meet acoustic instrumentation, experimentalism and classical sensibilities.
