As Pharoah Sanders reminds us in his nearly 20-minute odyssey “Love Is Everywhere” (1973), it can be found in the city streets, in our dandy footsteps echoing through them, or in a stoner kissing trance. It becomes especially tangible with the arrival of spring break, and the promise of those lingering summer nights still to come. This episode is a tribute to these first three weeks of spring, and to the different forms of desire they bring. Songs of love, or is it longing—sometimes deliberately so, at other times free floating like a hay fever dream. Just that aching feeling… like you’re about to sneeze.
