Krakow-based artist Martyna Basta crafts a delicate yet haunting sound. Classically trained in guitar, she left academia at 18, replacing her instrument with synths. Her debut album, Making Eye Contact with Solitude (Warm Winters), marked her as part of Europe’s experimental wave. Since then, she has blended electronics, modulated voice, and field recordings with acoustic elements like guitar and zither, shaping her distinctive electro-acoustic style.
