aya is a musician from the Pennine region of the North Atlantic, exploring how experience and memory shape the body. Blending soundsystem culture, internet scenes, and post-hardcore influences, she crafts genre-defying works.

Her music has appeared on Hyperdub, YCO, Tri Angle, and more, with her debut LP im hole (2021) earning Pitchfork’s Best New Music. Her next LP, hexed!, arrives on Hyperdub in March 2025. Co-running YCO with BFTT, she has also scored projects for the BBC, Manchester International Festival, NTS, and CTM Festival.
