Eli Hooper, currently mixing and producing under the name 10 sleep, WY, is trying to function through the attempt to bring portions from his own world – one of nostalgia, fascination, and absurdity, a warm feeling in the heart, a fuzziness in the ears – and wrestle them into the one we all share. Metal Gear Solid, banana bread, and basic-fit backpacks find unity and synchronicity within a world where there’s always music in the air.
