Stan Litjens is a Brussels based artist who mainly works with the composition of synthetic sounds. In his work he creates synthetic, landscape like, interpretations of acoustic phenomena aiming to blur the line between sonic fiction and everyday acoustics like the squeeze of a door, the rumbling of an engine or the singing of a bird. His work is focussed on the performance aspect of sound in which he holds on to the critical elements of musique concrète.
