Born in the U.S. and raised in India, vmofo’s foundational roots are an amalgamation of Western and South Indian classical music. vmofo (Vysh) has always had an eclectic taste, but her creative journey began by wanting to find cultural parallels through global rhythms and colorful textures. Over time, her intuition and profound love for nostalgia have guided her to delve into a variety of tempos and sounds that experiment with atmosphere, space, fluidity, bass, syncopation, and polyrhythms. She aims to challenge how we typically experience sound and embrace imperfection without inhibition.
