Okgwa

Okgwa is a Korea-born producer, DJ, and artist currently based in Rotterdam. Her work conjures ceremonial landscapes through ritual and resonance, environments where perception loosens and sensation becomes primary. Rooted in Korean traditional instruments and ancestral sonic memory, she intertwines ancient rhythms with electronic sound, inviting listeners into a living, sensory experience where storytelling unfolds not through words, but through texture and time. Her second album Hayan Kkot, released on French label Polën, marks a deepening of this sonic world, ambient and experimental in form, yet rich with inner narrative. As founder of Okkot Records, she continues to develop an artistic universe at the intersection of Korean heritage and contemporary electronic music. Currently on residency in Rotterdam (2026–2027).
