Nkisi

Nkisi is the alias of Congolese diasporic artist, musician, and researcher Melika Ngombe Kolongo. Her practice explores sound as a vessel for material, ancestral, and cosmological forces, drawing on Kongo spiritual technologies. She co-founded NON Worldwide with Chino Amobi and Angel-Ho and hosted a monthly show on NTS Radio. Her releases include work on MW / Rush Hour, Arcola, UIQ, Purgexxx, and Cortizona. She is also the founder of Initiation, an artist-run imprint and research platform exploring music, writing, and publishing.
