Joy

Joy is a DJ and producer based in São Paulo with deep roots in the reggae sound system culture of São Luís, also known as ‘Brazilian Jamaica’, she grew up immersed in a family of cultural producers and began DJing in São Paulo in 2017, developing a selection shaped by this deep cultural lineage. She has performed at key projects across Brazil, including Mamba Negra, D-Edge, Gop Tun and Bruma Festivals, ODD, CAPS LOCK, as well as internationally at Fandango, About Blank, Golden Pudel and Gängevierte in Germany. Motivated by cultural connection and contribution, Joy was a resident and producer with São Paulo’s prominent VERSA party label, and previously curator and head producer for the much-loved Na Manteiga Radio.
